More about the tour

  • Our tour program starts between 07:30 and 09:00 in the morning. We'll pick you up from the security gate of your hotel and head off to Koprulu Canyon National Park. This beautiful reserve is where the Combo-Rafting tour will take place. As we travel, you'll get to enjoy the scenic views of mountains, the sea, forests, and quaint villages, one after the other from the bus window.
  • When we arrive at Koprulu Canyon, our instructor will brief you. In this briefing, they will explain to you briefly what will happen during the tour and give you some safety instructions.
  • The tour will start with a jeep safari. Our off-road jeeps with open bodies are excellent at handling mountain trails and overcoming any obstacles on the way. The jeeps will take you through the mountain serpentine and scenic canyon trails so you can fully appreciate its beauty and, of course, take photos to remember this adventure.
  • The jeep safari lasts about 50 minutes. After that, we'll suggest you switch vehicles, get into small buggy cars, and continue the tour.
  • Our instructor will once again give you a safety briefing, provide protective gear, and organize a quick training session on how to drive the buggies. After that, you'll be able to drive the buggies on a course by yourself for 20-30 minutes.
  • After the buggy safari, you'll head to the rafting center, where you can change into spare clothes or swimsuits.
  • After you've been through a mandatory safety briefing, you'll be given helmets and life jackets. You'll be split into teams and taken to the starting point of the rafting trip.
  • The rafting is done in 6-8 person inflatable boats. Each team is led by an experienced captain-instructor who will help and guide you on what to do in different situations.
  • Each team will need to navigate 14 kilometers down the river. This stretch of water route is split into two parts of 7.5 kilometers each with rest breaks in between.
  • After rafting, you can change into dry clothes and line up for another dose of adrenaline and thrilling experiences, which you'll definitely get during the zipline - a high-speed descent on a cable stretched over a chasm.
  • After the active part of the tour, a filling lunch awaits you, as well as free time for swimming in the mountain river, viewing photos and videos taken during the tour, and the opportunity to buy them. Then, it's the journey back. The transfer will take you back to the hotel approximately between 18:30 and 19:30 in the evening.

Things to do

ZIPLINE

  • For fans of active and extreme vacations, the zipline is a real find. What is this? A zipline is a somewhat advanced version of the good old rope swing. The difference is that the descent is made along a steel cable stretched over a gorge with a special suspension system to which a person is attached. The speed of movement will depend on the length of the cable and the weight of the person himself.
  • The zipline in the Koprulu Canyon is absolutely safe, it is fully controlled by experienced instructors who will help understand everything, introduce you to safety techniques, and tell you how to behave during the flight.
  • The adrenaline rush and intense sensations from the zipline descent in the Koprulu Canyon will remain in your memory for a long time.

RAFTING

  • Rafting is an extreme sport that is considered very accessible and safe. It involves traveling down a mountain river on an inflatable raft, overcoming water obstacles and rapids.
  • Even a person with no experience can feel incredible joy, an adrenaline rush, and a sense of self-worth from being able to handle the roaring, fast-flowing mountain river almost independently. All you need for success is to pay close attention to the safety briefing, which the instructor will provide on land, and in the water, you must accurately and flawlessly follow all the commands of your experienced guide.
  • All rafting routes in Turkey have a level 2, sometimes level 3 difficulty, suitable for both beginners and advanced rafters. The pure time spent on the water is approximately 2 hours. Active paddling is always alternated with rest on land.
  • The ideal time for rafting is from June to September because even on the hottest days, the river water temperature will be 10 - 12C.

WHAT IS A BUGGY?

  • A buggy is a small, lightweight vehicle with high passability and stability. These little machines are designed for two people - a driver and a passenger.
  • In the field of tourism, they have gained special popularity not only because they can travel to the most inaccessible places, handling sand, mud, or water barriers encountered along the way with ease. They are also safe and easy to drive. Absolutely anyone can drive a buggy, even someone who has never driven a car before. You don't need a driver's license to drive a buggy.
  • Interesting fact! Buggy translates as "beetle". The first buggies were invented in the 1950s from old, and sometimes discarded, Volkswagen Beetles.

KÖPRÜLÜ CANYON

  • Vacationers in such Turkish resort cities as Antalya, Kemer, Alanya, Belek, and Side often visit the Köprülü Canyon National Park for rafting. This park is near the village of Be?konak in the Manavgat district, which is located about 90 km from the center of Antalya.
  • Köprülü Canyon National Park was founded in 1973 and covers an area of 366,140 hectares. The reserve is named after the canyon formed by the Köprüçay River between the villages of Be?konak and Bala?an. In Turkey, the Köprülü Canyon is considered the largest. It is 14 km long and its walls rise up to 100 meters. In some places, the walls of the canyon are almost impossible to climb.
  • The Köprüçay River, or Köprü, begins in the Taurus Mountains. Passing through natural canyons and filling up with underground waters from them, it flows into the Mediterranean Sea south of the city of Serik. The river is 183 kilometers long. As it is a full-fledged water source with a strong current both in summer and winter, the Köprüçay is ideal for rafting and other water sports.
  • It is worth noting that the Köprülü Canyon National Park is one of the most beautiful natural recreation zones in Turkey. It hosts the largest natural cypress forest in the entire Mediterranean region, covering an area of 400 hectares. Its rich fauna includes 48 rare and endangered species. Of these, 44 are found only here, making them endemic species; 5 species are on the brink of extinction globally; 4 species are nationally endangered; and 39 species are under threat of extinction in Europe.
  • In the reserve, you can observe the mountain goat and the black salamander, and admire how the Anatolian vulture and the white-headed vulture soar in the sky.
  • There are also many historical and archaeological sites in the park, such as castles, aqueducts, roads, and ancient bridges. For instance, the most famous among tourists is the ancient Roman Oluk Bridge, which connects the two parts of the Köprülü Canyon. It can be confidently considered as the iconic entrance and a visiting card of the nature park.
  • To the west of the Köprüçay River, in the mountainous region, lie the ruins of the ancient city of Selge, which was founded in the 5th century BC. From the once-magnificent city, not much remains today: an ancient theater, agora, cisterns, aqueducts, and the temples of Zeus and Artemis.
